Adele C. Geraghty, Class of '69, majored in Cartooning & Advertising Art and was Poetry Editor of the Creative Writing Pages at artalumni.com. Adele is the recipient of 'The National Women's History Award for Excellence in Women's Related Poetry and Essay'. Her poetry and short story has appeared in ~Hudson Valley Literary Magazine.

Terrianne Benton-Danielson, Class of '61, Majored in Costume Design and later attended the Fashion Institute of Technology. Though she claims to have never employed her talent professionally, Terri has delighted those who know her with her creations. She has both designed and created wearing apparel to draperies, beaded embroidery, custom pillows and Christmas ornaments. In 2000 Terri became Webmaster and Photo/Yearbook Editor of artalumni.com, a job she genuinely enjoys. Says Terri, " Working with many artists on site provides me with much joy personally. It enables alumni to enjoy the work of others and promotes nostalgia through the yearbooks and old photos." Terri's contribution to The Creative Writing Pages is greatly appreciated by her fellow alumni.

Bob Friedman, Class of '60, majored in Architecture. A published poet, Bob's work has appeared in several Literary Magazines. His work is hauntingly expressive of the intense, emotional impact, of the mundane. Having served with The Peace Corps in the Middle East, Bob developed a deep appreciation of the culture and landscape there, which he employs vividly throughout much of his work.

Donna Kerness Walence, Class of '60, Majored in Advertising Art The School of Industrial Arts, where she was Class President. Donna's multifaceted background includes dancing with the Alwin Nikolais Company for approximately six years, at the Henry Street Playhouse and appearing in a number of underground films by producers George and Michael Kuchar. Donna's poems, like dance, impart an underlying sensuality of expression.

Ed King, Class of '69, majored in Cartooning & Advertising Art. A cartoonist, writer and journalist, Ed is currently Publisher~Editor of 'West End News', a bi-weekly newspaper in Portland, Maine, where he resides. His work appears regularly in 'The Cafe Review' literary magazine.

George Polis, Class of '82, majored in Theater Arts. George's career as illustrator encompasses a wide range, from fashion to gothic fantasy. He has worked in stage and film and recently lent his expertise to the production of "The Beat Goes On", a Literary Presentation, during the week of events commemorating the 'birthday' of Art & Design.

Leona M. Seufert, Class of '69, majored in Costume Design. An artist of many talents, Leona's unique jewelry designs have appeared in one-woman shows, and she has designed sets for Upstate, NY and New Jersey regional theatres. Most recently, she has done corporate and personal website design. She is an award-winning author, who crafts essays that focus on the human condition and technology's impact on society. Lorraine C. Brooks, Class of '69, majored in Cartooning & Advertising Art. Lorraine currently works as Director of Employee Assistance at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. Her most recent work, 'A New Yorker's Perspective of the World Trade Center Tragedy', has appeared in The West End News, Portland, Maine. An avid METS fan, Lorraine's satirical baseball poetry, reminiscent of 'Casey At The Bat', has gleaned a growing following of regular admirers. .

Sandi Miller, Class of '60. majored in Display. Sandi received a BFA from 'Alfred University' and an MFA in sculpture from 'Hunter College'. Her early career pursuits include Home Furnishing Design and Supergraphics. She is Cartographic Designer for Mass Transit and Airport Directories, among others. A Sustainable Living Advocate and Natural Building Enthusiast, her work reflects detail and precision, as well as charm.

Yvonne Fitzner, Class of '60, majored in Advertising Art. Yvonne continued her education at the School of Visual Arts, where she studied graphic design with Milton Glaser and Ivan Chermayeff. Yvonne is both an artist and song writer, performing her own material in New York's Greenwich Village and Amsterdam, Holland, from the mid-1960's to the early 1970's. Her award-winning typeface and logo designs have been published in industry annuals. She was a contributing editor at MC magazine, a musician's monthly and is presently a contributor to the online publication, NewYorkish.com.

Shelley Gail Weiss Lightman, Class of '69, majored in Illustration. Shelley received an AAS degree in Design from'FIT', a BFA in Dance Theartre from 'Lehman College' and is currently pursuing a masters degree from 'New York University'. She has taught General Education and Theatre and currently owns a floral shoppe in East Windsor, N.J., where she lives with her two children.

Gail Debel Allouf, Class of '69 majored in Fashion Illustration and attended Parsons School of Design where she majored in Fashion. She is an artist~designer, having created baby apparel gift collections for Martha Stewart Baby, Sesame Street and Target Stores, as well as 'Heirlooms' layette collection for J. C. Penney and Bright Future. Gail continues to work from her studio, Divine Hands, in New Jersey, where she also resides with her husband and two sons. Her most recent poetry was inspired by the rhythms of Hip-Hop and Rap music, reflecting on time and loss.
