cherished, beautiful
she rose, daring
like a phoenix from ashes
catch me if you can.
i'm here
ha!
delicate and loved
again she rose
her plumage exquisite
golden
never molting for long.
from a single ash
she fought and rose again
and again. smiling.
until alas the ashes were all gone.
now she flies free
forever
untarnished
ashes scattered
not forgotten
